Why this deserves attention

Low-power NAS advice is useful only when the workload and boundaries are explicit. Idle draw is important, but so are drive count, expansion, memory integrity, transcode needs, network speed, backup strategy, replacement parts, and the complexity of the software stack.

The goal is not the lowest wattage screenshot. It is a storage system that remains economical, quiet, serviceable, and recoverable throughout its useful life. Measurements should include the drives and services actually expected to run.
